Prickly Pines Disc Golf

An 18-hole disc golf course in Evans Park, teeing off by the pond parking area. $5 a player; discs to rent at the park office on weekdays.

Eighteen holes in Evans Park. The first tee is just off the parking area for the pond. The Park & Recreation District charges $5 a player toward upkeep, with a Venmo option at the start of the course; check its page for private-event closures.

In late 2017 the district’s board had staff build the course; local players Cameron Burrow and Jeremy Priest helped design the first nine holes, and after months of play it was redesigned and expanded to eighteen. A rental set of three discs (driver, midrange and putter) is $5 from the park office, open Monday to Friday 9 am–5 pm, with no rentals outside those hours. Dogs stay on leash, and the district asks players to use a spotter on blind throws, watch for the prickly pear cactus and not smoke on the course.

The layout, fees, rental hours and rules were read on the district’s disc golf page on 30 October 2026 (prices as of that date); the page’s address now leads to a version headed with a private-event closure on 18 July 2026.
