The Elizabeth branch of Pines & Plains Libraries is the busiest public room in town: 13,000 square feet with distinct children’s and teen spaces, parking for about seventy cars, and a calendar that runs most days — story time twice a week, a book club that meets twice each month, a knitting group, a teen curiosity club, a heritage crew and monthly art classes. Open Monday to Saturday, late until 8 on weekday evenings.
