The Elizabeth Brewing Company

Elizabeth’s brewery took over the Huber-Carlson Building in 2017 and put a five-barrel brewhouse on the ground floor, with the taproom upstairs and a beer garden and patio behind. The building is the only one in town on the Colorado State Register of Historic Properties; the bar top was cut from its floor joists and the taproom tables from its original flooring. There is a ramp to the garden and rear parking, since the historic staircase is steep.

Trivia is on Tuesday nights at 7 pm, and at 6 pm on Wednesdays Tiny Tap pours something the brewery makes new each week, while it lasts; darts can be borrowed from the staff and board games taken from the shelf. Happy hour on Mondays and Thursdays from 4 to 6 pm is $5 a pint (the price on 30 October 2026). In summer the brewery runs the free Friday Night Market and concert series at Running Creek Park; its 2025 schedule had vendors from 5 pm and live music from 6 pm.

Hours, phone and the weekly nights were read on the brewery’s home page on 30 October 2026, and the building’s history on its About the Building page the same day. That page heads the building “1885” and says “1890” in its text; the Historic Advisory Board’s site says 1890. The market schedule page still lists only 2025 dates; the home page says this summer’s market series is over and the taproom stays open.
