Two Bridges Trail at Bayou Gulch
Douglas County open space fifteen minutes west of Elizabeth: a 3.4-mile short loop or an 8.8-mile circuit, open to hikers, horses and mountain bikes, with connections toward the Cherry Creek Trail.
The nearest real hiking is west of town on Bayou Gulch Road, where Douglas County’s Bayou Gulch Open Space and Two Bridges Trail run through gulches and ponderosa. The short loop is about 3.4 miles and takes an easy hour and a quarter; the full Bayou Gulch and Two Bridges circuit is about 8.8 miles with 620 feet of climb. Hikers, horses and mountain bikes, open year round, with connections toward the Cherry Creek Trail.
